Our products are natural, do not contain synthetic stabilisers and are not made to sit on shelves for years.

All our soaps should be used within 1 year of purchase to ensure freshness and quality.

Body Butters and Bronzers:

Our Body Butters and Bronzers are made in small batches to ensure freshness and do not contain water therefore they do not contain synthetic preservatives or stabilisers. These products should be opened within 6 months of purchase and be used only with clean, dry hands or a scoopThey should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

We employ a PAO (Period after opening) symbol to show the usable lifetime of a product once opened. Our Body and Bronzing Butters, for example, show a 6M PAO symbol, meaning that once opened the product is estimated to be good for 6 months. This is a conservative estimate.

To ensure the freshness of your product, it is important to use clean, dry hands or a scoop. Always put the lid on when not in use and do not allow water into the container. Do not use in the shower. These things allow dirt and bacteria to grow and will shorten the lifespan and freshness of the product.

Many commercial soaps contain synthetic chemicals to increase lather and shelf life. We firmly believe that the delicate skin of babies deserves better. Once you decide it is time to begin using soap, we recommend our Nourishing Calendula soap as it is unscented and uncoloured. The gentle, creamy lather can also be use on baby’s hair, just be careful to avoid the eyes. As your child grows, you can try our other natural soaps. As with any new product, we recommend doing a skin patch test just to be sure before using all over. Every body is different!

I created my products initially in response to my son’s terrible dyshidrotic eczema when commercial products were just to harsh. Using gentle, natural soap and body butter rather than products with synthetic chemicals made my son’s eczema journey a lot easier. I do not claim that our products will heal any skin condition, they are not medicines for treating, preventing or curing illness. However, our products may help sooth and hydrate your skin. Plant oils, herbs and natural ingredients have been used for centuries in this way. As with any new product, you should always do a patch test before using.

Allergies and sensitive skin can make choosing skin care products difficult so we make sure to list all ingredients on our website and products to make choosing products easier. There are no hidden nasties.

Whether a product contains natural and/or synthetic ingredients, you should always skin test prior to use.
